Review: The Witch by Aganorsa Leaf

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

This cigar was constructed very well. There was visible seems and veins, but it did not affect the cigar at all. It had a great burn line and the draw was immaculate. I think the great construction made the difference in the score.

This cigar was a black pepper bomb in the first half. The sweetness was dancing with the saltiness really well. Like when you have salted caramel. The sweetness is there, but the salt adds that little kick. I appreciate the heaviness of the tobacco’s used. It’s definitely after diner cigar with a lighter drink pairing. Something iced, like a coffee or something bubbly, like a Kolsh. It’s a winter treat and you’ll enjoy every puff!

Stallone Alagan Review: The Brand

From Brian Desind of Privada Cigar Club: About a year and a half ago I began working on this blend with the legendary Aganorsa Leaf tobacco farms in Estelí, Nicaragua. It became apparent the factory was seeing signs of a poltergeist. There was a habano wrapper leaf fermentation that was making sounds and excreting a liquid onto the floors of the warehouse. When we touched the mysterious substance, it caused phantom flavors to be called upon by the olfactory senses. For years, they fermented the tobacco, trying their best to relieve the wrapper of its sopping wet texture and its brindle appearance, but this tobacco was haunted. After 2 years of fermentation the wrapper leaf was placed outside during warm months to sun dry. We then took the tobacco and wrapped it around the finest Aganorsa Leaf grown Nicaraguan tobaccos we could find. The result is The Witch. A shape shifting sorcerer of flavor and sensation.
