Review: Stallone Negro Maduro 10yr Aged

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

A very handsome box pressed perfecto vitola, with some visible veins, but with uniform color and a nice medium pack. The draw was perfect with a very relaxed feel. Texture wise the smoke had a soft, billowy feel and there was plenty of it. The burn had a slight slant throughout but not problematic. The flavors were well balanced through much of the cigar, though the texture became a little dry in the final third of the first sample. The second sample somehow carried a more prominent cocoa flavor, while first sample had more peaty notes, particularly on the finish. Very enjoyable smoke with impressive construction.

This would make a nice pairing with a single malt Scotch, either Highland or Speyside, in the late afternoon or evening. Possibly even a good Irish whiskey. Mocha coffee or a macchiato would also work well.

RH: 61%
Smoke time: 70 minutes

Stallone Alagan Review: The Brand

Ten years ago, Tony Barrios embarked on an odyssey from Venezuela to Nicaragua, driven by a dream to craft the perfect cigar.  In the heart of Nicaragua, he meticulously sourced materials – from the finest wrappers to the richest fillers – and spent months perfecting his blends.  This dedication birthed a stunning first production: a collection of 10,000 cigars, featuring an array of distinct wrappers including Broadleaf, San Andres, Connecticut, Habano, and Brazilian.  Now, a decade later, these aged treasures are ready to be unveiled.
