Black Label Trading Co. Creates La Madonna Negra To Celebrate 10 Years

Black Label Trading Company is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with the release of a special cigar, La Madonna Negra. Handcrafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua, this cigar features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Ecuador Habano binder, and a combination of filler tobaccos from Pennsylvania and Nicaragua.

“La Madonna Negra is a culmination of things I’ve learned over the last decade of cigar making. It’s a cigar that not only represents Black Label but also represents who I am today as a cigar maker.  It’s bold, as a BLTC cigar should be but, it’s also very refined and elegant. It has layers of complexity and a very unique profile. A mixture of different spice elements combines with aromatic floral notes to create something unexpected. I’m very proud of the result,” shares James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

Available within the next two weeks, in 20-count boxes, The La Madonna Negra is launching in three box-pressed formats: Rothschild (4.5 x 48), Corona Gorda (5.5 x 50), and Robusto (5 x 54), with prices ranging from $11.00 to $13.00 per cigar. Additionally, a limited Collection Box with a mixed count of 32 cigars will be allocated to shops across the country through a live lottery drawing on June 7th.

Selections from the Black Label Trading Co. portfolio of blends, as well as other brand’s cigars that are crafted at Oveja Negra are available from Privada Cigar Club.
