Proscrito Cigars is developing a knack for tapping into the zeitgeist with the naming of their increasingly sought after selections. According to their website, the newest offering continues the tradition with another homage to cinema and pop culture.
The Marsellus Wallace is Proscrito’s first cigar utilizing an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper. The blend inside consists of Criollo 98 and Corojo. The company says that “this medium-Medium full bodied cigar is a must for your collection humidor, and then extra for smoking.” Marsellus Wallace will be available in two formats at launch, 5 x 50 and 6 x 52.
The glow of the band on this cigar is reminiscent of the one that emanated from the briefcase in the movie “Pulp Fiction” – in which Marsellus Wallace was played by actor Ving Rhames. Previous releases from Proscrito include The Life as well as various sizes of the Tyler Durden.
