Boutique cigars and the people that make them are near and dear to me because they are the first cigars to which I was introduced, only later discovering traditional/heritage brands. Whether it’s because I wasn’t exposed to anything traditional early on, or because there’s a genuinely different vibe, boutique brands overall just feel more vibrant and fun than many of the larger, consolidated giants of the industry.
With just over 8 weeks left until Fall arrives, there are still plenty of ways to experience that fun first hand and make the most of the rest of your Summer. See for yourself what makes boutique so special by attending one of these upcoming boutique cigar events:

The Boutique Cigar Association of America’s annual Smoke At The Creek event is again being held in Martinsville, Indiana in just over a week from now. The original hotel is full, but they’ve updated their website with alternatives.
The 15 acre Cedar Creek property is home to the finest distillery, winery, and brewery in Indiana. The event will feature a concert, an on-site DJ, and many food trucks to complete the entire experience. The goal of the event is to put boutique cigars at the forefront and make it a memorable experience for everyone who attends.
An Association for family owned boutique cigar companies producing under 1,000,000 cigars per year, the BCAA’s primary goal is to bring together boutique cigar manufacturers, brand owners, retailers, and connoisseurs. United through a collaborative effort, the thinking is that they will be able to lay more stable foundation for the future of the industry. Their aim is to accomplish this through education, organization, and awareness. Tickets and more information can be found on the event’s page: Get Your Ticket(s)

Weaselfest makes one promise to its attendees: 7 Hours of Cigars & Music. This year’s event should be a great experience for any cigar head that can get a ticket before they sell out. The $500 VIP tickets have sold out completely already. The event will showcase authentic Central Texas BBQ, local Austin brewers and distillers, AND limited edition cigars.
RoMa Craft’s most celebrated ‘catador’ ever released is being featured in a Limited Edition WeaselFest Box. Each of the eight blends featured in the El Catador de Las Gran Coronas have been carefully and patiently aged for this release. They share that “it is our pleasure to present this very exclusive sampler as we celebrate our 12th year in business.”
Tickets are selling quickly for this event’s highly anticipated return. While they last, you can still get tickets.
