Review: Superior Standard San Andres The Burnside

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

Score Justification: This cigar lost points due to flavor balance. In the 1rst third I got a bouquet of major and nuanced flavors. They danced and it was great. Then towards the middle of the cigar, things turned very earthy and minerally. The notes felt muted. The construction was better than most and I really appreciated the draw. This was a good cigar overall.

Overall Thoughts: I think in a smaller ring gauge, this would have had a higher impact on me. I think the placement of tobaccos in the bunching process could have been the defining factor for me. Don’t get me wrong, this cigars construction was great, and I particularly liked the more open draw. I got to taste everything as Intended. With that said, this may be your go to cigar! It may not have hit everyone of my buttons, but it was worth a crack at it. I think that it’s worth a shot, well atleast a few!
