I enlisted in the Marine Corps at 19, driven by a mix of reasons. But the one that stayed with me was this: if someone had to serve, why not me? If I could stand in for someone else, take that place, I would. That mindset still defines me. Through my service, I was forged into a brotherhood with some incredible men, men I know I could count on no matter what. It was humbling, truly.
Cigars became an unexpected part of my Marine Corps journey. I picked up the habit as a corporal, and by the time I was a sergeant, my battalion could recognize me by the cigar aroma alone. Sometimes, I didn’t bother with the smoking pit—I’d light up wherever I was, brazen as hell. These days, I still connect with my brothers and other veterans over a good cigar and some whiskey. It’s more than just a smoke; it’s a bond that brings us back.

For the past 7 years, Tyler has cultivated a deep appreciation for the art of cigar smoking. When he’s not immersed in the rich flavors of a well-crafted cigar, Tyler can be found orchestrating events in a catering kitchen as an events manager or helping raise his three children alongside his supportive wife.
