Rojas Cigars Peruvian Gold Review
The color on both samples was very pleasing and even; a lustrous amber color with a somewhat golden sheen. Love the corona gorda vitola, so I was looking forward to this one. Initially the draw was a little too firm for my preference, but did relax nicely as the smoke progressed. Flavor wise, however, there were no complaints. Lots of bright and tropical fruity notes abounded with a growing intensity of chocolate on the palate, reminding me of chocolate covered dried mango at times, developing to more sweet nut and woodsy notes later on. The texture and palate were both meticulously well balanced which is key for me. Spice was on the subtle side, but certainly present, and the aroma was just delightful. Very good burn and construction throughout. Definitely a must try!
