This was exactly what I seek out in a cigar. Amazing peppery retrohale, straight forward flavor profile and impeccable construction. Admittedly, this is not in my wheel house vitola wise. I think I would prefer this in a smaller format, but despite that obstacle it wow’d me at every single puff. The tooth on this wrapper left me in awe, quite literally Flavor-Grip. I can’t wait to find out what this cigar is and stock up immediately.
Pairing Recommendations: Samuel Adam’s Cherry Wheat Ale, Miller Lite, Porter or Stout Beer, Black Hot Coffee, Old Elk Bourbon neat

Red Pepper, Molasses
Red Pepper, Cocoa Powder
Right off the bat, red pepper coats the palate. The retrohale takes that red pepper and mixes it with black pepper, creating a perfect medley. The draw is a touch snug, but is producing ample smoke and flavor. This boxed pressed torpedo is a work of art in appearance; with a seamless touth-riddled dark brown wrapper, but the second sample was quite the opposite. Visible seams and uneven color plagued the second sample, but it had ZERO effect on anything beyond appearance. As the first third comes to a close, a touch of sweetness emerges.
The second third (thankfully) hangs onto the red pepper/black pepper notes, but really amps up the sweetness; a fruit-like sweetness, reminiscent of cherries. The draw has loosened a bit, to near perfection and the pepper alone could carry this cigar. Transitioning to the final third, the cherry is met with another layer of sweetness in the form of sticky sweet molasses.
The final third introduces a nice touch of chocolate and espresso, with the cherry lingering in the background. The pepper is still so enjoyable that I have to keep telling myself not to retrohale every draw. The strength is certainly on the strong side and is ramping up even as the final third concludes.
