Construction wise this cigar was very well done, with a neat and tidy roll, a good box press, very tight seams, and an impressive burn and draw. The smoke texture was also very enjoyable ranging from smooth and creamy, to fluffy, and even a little fudgy at times. The flavor balance is where I found issues. There was an somewhat acrid tannic quality in the draw flavor that lingered over the rest of the flavor notes that just felt like an annoying distraction. There will be some who will probably not be bothered by this characteristic, but my palate is rather sensitive to it. That all being said, it was still a genuinely enjoyable cigar, just not my favorite.
