First off, and I can’t overstate this, these cigars were butt ugly. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought they were rolled without a wrapper leaf. Don’t get me wrong, I can dig a rustic looking stick, but this was on another level entirely! The draw, burn, and smoke output were all decent enough, but the texture and flavor, particularly the first sample were VERY problematic. The first sample had an overabundance of an outright soapy flavor that was entire off-putting. It did calm down and balance out somewhat as I got past the first third, but bitterness of draw flavors and harshness in the texture made them rather a chore to get through. I’m not really sure what the makers were going for with this blend, but I felt almost assaulted by the flavors most of the way. Perhaps I got a bad batch, but what I experienced was far from enjoyable.
