Review: Continental Cigars Privada Exclusive

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

Visually this cigar was near perfection, with a gorgeous oily sheen on a light rosado brown color, with nearly invisible seams, minimal veins and just about a perfect pack and roll. Upon lighting the draw did exhibit a certain firmness, however there was plenty of smoke so nothing really to complain about here. The smoke texture was soft and billowy with a slight powdery texture to the mouth feel, eventually building to a texture that was at times jammy and later even bready if that makes any sense. The ash was a very pretty and strong light gray stack of dimes. The burn was never perfect, but relatively carefree the whole cigar. The flavor profile had a very enjoyable dynamic range starting with espresso, toffee and some chocolate nuances, moving on to a more woodsy character in the middle third, before finishing with applewood, bready and cereal notes to close it out.

I would love to try this one again with a sigle malt Highland or Sepyside Scotch on the rocks, and would be a great late afternoon or evening cigar. It definitely has the quality to be a night closer smoke, too.
