DK Duo Review: Puente
The overall experience was damaged by the construction issues. The first stick had burn issues requiring touching up multiple times which can disrupt the enjoyability. The second sample also had the same issues, and the wrapper began to crumble. I made sure the samples were at proper humidification and temperature. The conditions of smoking were ideal as well. I believe this cigar had the flavors and all that is required with an enjoyable cigar. If not for the construction issues it would have scored better. The new scoring system grades heavily with construction which leads to the score it received. I would say to try this cigar out, and hopefully you don’t experience the burn issues I did. I will say that this stick will satisfy a smoker who enjoys spices and pepper.
This Cigar would have scored better if it was not for the consistent burn issues. The second sample had issues with burn as well. It seems to have a delicate wrapper.

In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, the Dominican Republic produced some of the finest and most expensive cigars in the world. Once sought after by collectors and counterfeited by criminals, these blends have become overshadowed in the past decade by cigars that focus on body and strength over nuance and balance. DK provides the opportunity to re-discover the legendary blends and rare tobaccos that once took over the industry. Experience the golden age of what made the Dominican Republic king of cigars.
