Review: HVC PCC Habano

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

Very few flaws on the wrapper, with a nice even coloring, a beautiful oil sheen, and a very even roll and pack. The draw was excellent with ample smoke output and a syrupy texture. Burn line was razor sharp damn near the whole way too. So much sweetness on this stick immediately upon lighting, which kept up through most of the cigar. Lots of nuance and delicacy to this flavor profile that kept me paying attention. The last 1.5 inches did get a little bit hot, but that’s about the only negative I could complain about. This one really compelled me to relax while smoking, which I was only too happy to oblige!

I want to try this one with an cafe cubano or an old fashioned macchiato as I think the pastry like flavors would be beautifully complimented.

RH: 58%, Smoke Time: 90 Minutes

Stallone Alagan Review: The Brand

Reinier Lorenzo and Privada Cigar Club have teamed up to create something pretty special for cigar lovers: a pair of cigars that show off how changing the wrapper can make a big difference in taste, even when the inside stuff stays the same. We’re inviting members of the Privada Cigar Club and the Limited Cigar Association to dive into a world of flavor, skill, and tradition with us.

First up is the Habano cigar, a real show-stopper made with top-notch Aganorsa tobacco. It’s a big one at 6.5 x 52 and it’s HVC’s nod to the classic Cuban cigar style, using rich Nicaraguan tobacco for a taste that’s all about tradition and quality.
