This was one toothy and dark box-pressed torpedo that had some real funky notes on the prelight aromas which really got me excited. Construction was impressive with a sold white ash that held on very well. The second sample of this cigar in particular had a super sharp burn line. The draw had a touch of firmness, but with so much smoke behind it I hardly found it a flaw. The smoke texture was medium-full with a creamy feel that was very satisfying. The flavor profile definitely starts in the dessert flavor realm, that jumped out of the gate with a mouth watering donut flavor, with additional chocolate, cherry, cocoa and espresso nuances. The back half had plenty of sweetness but with much more prominent musty, woody, and earth characteristics. This was a very satisfying smoke that was all too easy to appreciate.
Pairing Recommendations: Would be excellent after a chocolate dessert of any kind, and would pair well with a dark roast coffee, espresso, or a fine cognac.
