Revealing so much – and so little – all at once, Sébastien M. Decoppet of Cavalier Genève Cigars teased a forthcoming blend today and provided some clues as to what it might be. Offering that Brian Motola “suggested you all might be interested to know that this is aging really well so far,” there’s a few candidates that may come to mind as you take in the many little hints he’s left for you. Decoppet poses a simple question that will no doubt bring out the inner detective in many of us, “I think you all know what it is and when it will release this year ☝️ or do you?”
Listing the factory as Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A, and the brand as Cavalier Genève Cigars, Sébastien adds “could it be that yearly release maybe?” Paired with the “USA” and “2023” emblazoned across the band, one’s thoughts may turn to the Regional Exclusive United States that reimagined what the brand previously called USA Exclusive/Black I last year. However, the hashtags used may provide the deepest insight in this instance – which is not something you likely ever imagined you’d read, or I that I’d write. Still, here we are courtesy of Cavalier and this surprisingly engaging and enjoyable treasure hunt.
Tags like “limited edition” and “yearly release” confirm what has already been revealed, but “undisclosed” and “rare”, as well as “toro” point to what could be the Cavalier Genève Limited Edition 2023. Variations on the Toro format have been utilized more than any other since the LE series debuted in 2018 and all of the Cavalier annual LE’s are brought to market without disclosing the rare tobaccos used to create them. Whatever it ends up actually being, one can’t help but appreciate the simplicity and the fun. We’re as eager as you are to find out more, and will provide more information as it becomes available.
