A new cigar from blender and brand owner Kyle Gellis is now available – the Bits of Havana Robusto San Andres. Now exclusive to Drop Cigar Club, multiple expressions of the Bits of Havana line have been made available over the past few years. Prior to last fall’s launch of Bits of Havana Especial, DROP – and Warped before it – released the Bits of Havana Petit Corona, Corona Extra, and Robusto.
The filler is the same combination of Aganorsa grown Nicaragua Criollo ’98 & Corojo ’99 tobaccos used in the original. The San Andres replaces the Nicaragua Corojo ’99 wrapper found on every other version outside of the Especial, which has a Jalapa Corojo ’99 Shadegrown wrapper. Showcasing just how much of an impact the wrapper really makes, the tasting notes for the Petit Corona, Corona Extra, and Robusto are listed as cedar, white pepper, sugar cane, and dried berries, while the San Andres Robusto is purported to offer notes of Mexican hot chocolate, black pepper, leather, oak, dried fruit.
The Bits of Havana Robusto San Andres is available in packs of 5, 10, and 25.
