Blanco Above and Beyond Heroes

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

Delicious stick, box worthy! Just wish the burn was better.

Stallone Alagan Review: The Brand

Blanco Cigar Company, now in their 25th year, has all of their cigars made using Plasencia tobaccos at Plasencia facilities. The late Master Blender, Evelio Oviedo Domínguez, shared his knowledge with the Blancos over the span of a decade prior to his passing. Today the brand is helmed by the 4th generation of the family to work with premium cigar tobacco, David A. Blanco.

Stallone Alagan Review: The Body

Barnyard, sweet like molasses.

Stallone Alagan Review: The Foot

Bread and walnut and soft all spice

Stallone Alagan Review: The Cold Draw

Soap/ floral and light brown sugar

Stallone Alagan Review: First Third

Nice age on the cello. A nutty opening, and a 1/2″ run in the burn going to see if it evens out as it opens up, citrus and spice on the retro, light pepper. Some butter on the aftertaste like a Connecticut but with more body. Got to 3/4″ and decided to touch it up. Some kind of spicy sausage.

Stallone Alagan Review: Second Third

Hazelnut, good smoke production, nice floral production, big flak ash, nice heavy floral, slight fresh bread note, touch-up x2.

Stallone Alagan Review: Final Third

Continued with floral and bread notes. (toast) and floral, great smoke production and low spice on the retro. Cigar didn’t dry out the mouth. Touch-up x2.

To me, cigars are about having a deep curiosity of the history of those who provide them to the world; full of complexity and beauty. Comparing notes on those stories is the point, preserved for who’ll come next. I simply can’t get enough of that. Otherwise, I’m a common man.
