Montecristo Espada

As much as I actually enjoyed the flavors and the aromas, at about half way through, the strong nicotine took away my overall enjoyment.

Wrapper: Habano Jalapa Vintage 2010 / Binder: Nicaragua / Filler: Nicaragua

Vitola: Guard / Size: 6 x 50

Factory: Plasencia Cigars S.A. / Country of Origin: Nicaragua

Got a light tabacco aroma.

Good plum/raisin notes and some fig

On the cold draw, I got a wonderful flavor of rye bread.

A spicy black pepper on the tongue and back of throat. Throughout the 1st third, I got notes of black pepper, coffee, earth and with cedar leading the way.

Cedar still being the main note. Coffee and a little hint of that rye hanging in there. Also, the pepper coming through the retrohale.

Although most of the flavors muted in the final third. The same cedar, coffee, and pepper notes can be picked up.
