The cigars were in great condition. The wrapper was even and the cigar was made well. I think that this cigar would pair nicely with an I.P.A or Elijah Craig. This cigar was a great example of what you can expect from a premium cigar.

From the light up; Buttery cedar and black pepper took the lead. The smoke was billowing and the retro hale burn from the black pepper was high. It stung the nostrils good. There was an underlying umami flavor that I picked up, but it was faint. The burn was even and the draw was fantastic.
The 2nd third opened up and the notes became more distinguishable. Cashews, cedar and that pepper bounced off each other and it was quite nice to get a sense of them all. The Black pepper on the retro hale is still pungent but it was taken a notch down. burn and draw were still doing well.
The notes on the final third were the same as the second third, but this time the umami note was in the mix. The cedar turned buttery and the black pepper mellowed out. It seemed like the notes were sustaining and when the umami came in, the notes finally came together and formed that power chord of flavors it was meant to have. Bravo.
