This cigar surprised me, and I am glad it did. Both review samples were in perfect condition and presented no issues. Overall, this is a cigar that I could keep in rotation in my humidor all year round. Try this one with iced, unsweetened black tea.

Wrapper: Dominican Corojo / Binder: Dominican Corojo / Filler: Dominican Corojo

Vitola: Toro / Size: 6 x 50

Factory: Manufactura Rivas / Country of Origin: Dominican Republic

Bakers chocolate, hay

Raisins, light natural tobacco sweetness

Tobacco, faint cayenne pepper

The first third brought notes of black pepper, cedar and baker’s chocolate. It offered a slight sweetness in the mouth feel, and the retro hale was full of black pepper. It burned well and was a fantastic start to a review experience.

The transitions on this cigar were surprising. It quickly turned into sweet graham cracker, salty peanuts, and a great umami. There was also a zesty citrus note that kept popping up in the mix.

Great finish to both samples reviewed – the flavors remain consistent throughout the remaining third, including the black pepper on the retrohale.
