Privada Regional Group Releases 2nd Cigar Project With Intergalactic Theme

One does not have to be a fan of science fiction or space operas in order to enjoy cigars from the Scruffy Herf Nerders regional crew. For those who are, though, the branding and terminology that the group uses are sure to enhance the experience. Like the group itself, their first release – The Chosen One – was named in reference to the lore of a vast and popular collection of intellectual property that takes place in a part of space that is a considerable distance from here. The original Chosen One sold out within hours of its debut and remained in such high demand that another, larger batch was made available at Privada and other select retailers. Now, their newest cigar – Mad Claw – is live on the site!

The new blend, expressed in a 6 x 50 format, has been aged for over a year and a half and features a Honduran Broadleaf wrapper. The binder and filler are a combination of tobaccos harvested from Jamastran. Sev and Suran, the duo behind the Herf Nerders, suggest the following parings: Flor De Cana Rum (12 year), Dr. Pepper & Cream Soda, dark chocolate with sea salt, and chocolate covered strawberries. Not counting the short pre-sale window, only 1100 Mad Claw cigars have been made available to the general cigar loving public. Selling hundreds in just the first few hours alone, this is a cigar that isn’t likely to be around for very long.

Do you know how one gets labeled a Mad Claw? Have you had either of The Chosen One releases? Is there a favorite interest of yours that you’d love to see expressed in a cigar blend? Let everyone know in the comments below!
