Stallone Nino Limited Edition

A beautifully even coloring and roll on this handsome cigar. The draw felt initially snug on the first sample, but loosened considerably upon lighting. The second sample unfortunately did not open up as well. Construction-wise, this cigar was quite good on the first sample with an even burn line, solid ash and a very good smoke output.

The second sample definitely struggled with its burn, requiring several burn touch ups. Flavors begin almost immediately with a tartness that made me think of cider, and for the most part maintained its presence throughout. The middle third had a savory quality in addition to the tartness on the draw.

The retrohale was very bright and fruity most of the way Medium bodied smoke, a semi dry texture, with a medium flavor strength. The final third of this smoke did become overly bitter, which made me stop before the final inch was through. Up to that point it was a rather good flavor profile. Anything apple with or before this stick would be ideal. Cider, wheated bourbons, and single malt Highland Scotch would go great with this as well.
