RoMa Craft Tabac Shipping Limited Edition Wunder|Lust Next Week

Launched by Roma Craft Tabac in late 2015 as a brand exclusive to the German premium cigar market, Wunder|Lust has garnered a substantial following across the cigar loving world. Back in August, we learned that Roma Craft was planning another expression of the popular blend. What the brand refers to as the “Keyser Söze” size is a 5 x 52 Gran Robusto barber pole featuring Brazilian Mata Fina and Arapiraca tobaccos. While Roma Craft has been known to occasionally make very limited amounts of select Wunder|Lust vitolas available in the US, it is never a certainty. Total production numbers have not been confirmed, but approximately 6,000 total cigars are going to make their way to retailers next week. Cigarrenfabrik August Schuster GmbH & Co. KG has distributed Roma Craft’s cigars in Germany, where this cigar is being sent, since the public release of the Wunder|Lust in 2016.

A new Intemperance blend also another step closer to appearing on our favorite shelves. Right around the same time that word got out a couple months back about the upcoming Wunder|Lust, Roma Craft’s Skip Martin teased the development of an Intemperance  “Volstead 1920.” The original article is available to read here. Temperance, a movement to greatly reduce the amount of alcohol imbibed in the US, started gaining momentum as early as the 1800’s. By 1919, the grassroots messaging had taken hold and the National Prohibition Act – or Volstead Act – was signed into law. The Intemperance brand is a reminder that there are those who would see cigars completely removed from daily life. The image below was posted with the caption “Intemperance VO 1920 Revenuer (pre-production blending sample).”
