Lampert Cigars + Rum has just announced that distribution of their cigars will expand to to The Netherlands. Kelch Trading International B.V. will distribute the 1675 Edición AZUL & ROJO. If you’re not familiar with the 1675 Edición, we’ve included more information on both lines below. You’ll also want to check out this in-depth exploration we recently published on the AZUL.
The 1675 Edición AZUL comes from Fábrica AGROTABACOS, Nicaragua. Lampert shares that this is a full flavored, medium bodied cigar with a smooth finish. This cigar utilizes Peruvian priming as well as fillers grown, fermented, and aged by the Ortez family in the Jalapa and Condega valleys. Available in 3 formats, each cigar is composed of five-year-old Peruvian Pelo de Oro with fillers aged three and four years . Short Robusto, Robusto and Toro expressions will be available in 20 count boxes.
The 1675 Edición ROJO is advertised as a medium-bodied, full flavored cigar that was specifically blended to founder Dr.Stefan Lampert’s specifications. He wanted a Connecticut wrapped cigar with rich, complex flavors and aromas. The ROJO line features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and filler which were grown, fermented then aged for four years by the ORTEZ family in the Jalapa and Condega valleys. As with the Edición AZUL, the Edición ROJO is made at Fábrica AGROTABACOS, Nicaragua. The AZUL will also available in the same three sizes (Short Robusto, Robusto and Toro) in 20 count boxes.
