Kafie 1901 Cigars is excited to announce the release of an updated line of bundled cigars. I had actually not been exposed to this line until just a few days ago when Dr. Gaby Kafie teased the news on an IG live. I’d planned on bringing what we knew so far to you tomorrow during the Friday cigar news roundup, but this new development is even better – Dr, Kafie has provided us with a full reveal of what we can expect next!
Kafie 1901 Cigars has, for the past 5 years, offered a line of bundle cigars named Liga de la Casa® – “house blend” in Spanish. In order to create the most economical product for consumers. with the resources available at the time, the original cigars were composed of medium filler tobacco. To meet the high standards by which the partners already operate, the Liga de la Casa bundles line will now be comprised of 100% premium long filler tobacco.
With Kafie’s move to La Aurora Cigars Factory, it just made sense to level up this flagship line at their new partner factory. Dr. Kafie states, “We now have more refined tobaccos available to us, which allow us the luxury to improve our blends and offer a better, more consistent cigar to connoisseurs.” I haven’t sought out bundles before, or had singles from one, but when you’ve got La Aurora and Dr. Kafie involved you’ve got interest from a great many of us.
This is exactly the kind of project I’m referring to when I write about how much smokers benefit from our favorite blenders having access to proper processes, materials and other resources. Personally, I’m really looking forward to trying these.
The Liga de la Casa by Kafie 1901 line will come in 3 different blends: an Ecuador Connecticut Blend, a Habano Natural Blend, and a Habano Maduro blend all of which use a high quality Indonesian binder to deliver a very smooth and flavorful experience. The first shipment is scheduled to arrive by the end of the September!
