Born Out Of Chaos, This “Crop To Shop” Operation Is More Than 50 Years Strong

Founded by Julio R. Eiroa and his son Justo M. Eiroa, JRE Tobacco likes to call themselves a “crop to shop” operation. They declare that “we are fully committed to providing sustained quality and satisfaction on every AladinoRancho Luna and Tatascan we make. This self-imposed standard covers the entire cigar manufacturing process. Our commitment to quality and consumer satisfaction is never compromised or circumvented.”

Always seeking out and implementing the best practices for sustainable and responsible agriculture, they oversee 700 acres of Farm and 400+ acres of Drip Irrigation. A clear promise has been made to cigar lovers – “As the premier Corojo grower in the industry, I, Julio Eiroa, Master Cigar Blender and Tobacco grower, guarantee that all our brands will provide you the opportunity to enjoy an Authentic Corojo taste, the same as cigars from the 1960’s.”

Born in 1938 in San Juan y Martinez, in Cuba’s Pinar del Rio province, Julio Eiroa founded JRE in Honduras after his native island’s political atmosphere resulted in him looking to create a new future beyond its borders. The story of how this family has built their legacy is a special one that we’ll be profiling later this year. Whether you’ve been a fan of theirs for a while or are still learning about their story, process and products – you’ll want to keep an eye out for all the new offerings making their way to your local shop:

ALADINO CLASSIC

The Aladino Classic has officially launched as part of JRE’s regular production lineup. Regarding the release, the team over there said “we are extremely excited about this new addition”  According to Justo Eiroa, “with Aladino Classic we are providing smokers a more medium cigar with traces of our Corojo and dominated by our Habano smoothness. We wanted to create a line that was different from our traditional portfolio dominated by our Corojo and bring something that incorporates more of our Habano tobacco, meeting the taste preferences of those cigar smokers who typically prefer Habano blend cigars.”

We’ve been told to expect notes of brown sugar, lemongrass, light cedar, leather, red pepper, honey and coffee bean.
