Jonas Santana has shared with Cigar Public that Blackbird Cigar Company will be adding a Box-Pressed 6×52 offering to each of their core lines. Supply chain issues related to building materials and other necessary equipment have prevented Blackbird from officially launching full production at their new 32,000 square foot facility, but Santana expects that operations will be underway within the next 60 days.
Jonas and Vladimir Santana were raised a few miles away from what is often called “The World Capitol of Cigars” – Tamboril, Dominican Republic. Over time, the brothers grew to develop a deep appreciation for smoking and sharing cigars. This appreciation would become a passion for the craft of creating them and the creativity of marketing them. Having cultivated a great reputation within the industry, the brothers’ dedication is evident – as is their love for the art of making cigars.
Where the new vitolas currently live in the production queue remains unknown. Considering that the new facility will have 80 sets of rolling stations, we shouldn’t have to wait too long for the factory to find a cadence and finalize a timeline. Blackbird’s core lines are the Crow, Rook, Unkind, Cuco, Finch, and Jackdaw. They recently released a fun promo featuring all 6 which I’ve included below. Check back soon for more exciting news from Blackbird Cigar Company, there’s a lot of cool things happening and they want the Cigar Public community to be the first to know!
Have you smoked Blackbird yet? Do you have a favorite Blackbird line? If you had to recommend one to someone who hadn’t tried the brand yet, which would it be? I’d love to hear it all in the comments below!
