Review: Pinnacle Cigars Serene

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

Burned very nice, despite the tight draw. While I picked up slightly different flavor notes from my two samples, the theme stayed the same where it started off mild with sweet notes, then to baking spices and woody notes, finishing out complex and heavy. Deductions were mostly on the draw end.

Stallone Alagan Review: First Third

A little under an inch in on tight but slightly wavy dime stacks I get strong notes of warm, golden honey with fresh baked bread undertones. After another half inch or so of that honey sweetness, a cinnamon note joins in and the fresh bread notes become more toasty in nature.

Stallone Alagan Review: Second Third

In the second third it develops deeper, richer, baking spice notes…Cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, all spice and ginger. At the halfway point the spice notes turn heavily to cinnamon and star anise and get more bitey & bitter. That bite finishes off with cedar and mesquite woody notes.

Stallone Alagan Review: Final Third
Notes progressively intensify to rich, complex notes. There’s a sharp, bitter punch that is also slightly vegetal that reminds me of broccoli rabe. There’s also a heavy sprightly spice that is like a warm cola. Lastly some convoluted woody notes…like a starting campfire with burning kindling and paper notes before the smokiness sets in.
