Review: Espinosa 601 Green Oscuro

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

The construction, roll, and presentation of the stick were great! The first third opened with notes of earth, wood, and leather. This stick leaned towards the heavier side, with richer and darker flavors. It would pair well with a creamy, sweet coffee or something similar. The sweetness would perfectly complement the rich notes of the cigar. The smoke output was impressive, creating a “smoke show,” and the draw was just right—not too tight, not too loose. The only downside was a slight run on the burn, but it self-corrected and didn’t detract from the experience. This stick is absolutely in my wheelhouse.

Stallone Alagan Review: The Brand

The 601 Oscuro Green is generally considered the strongest of the 601 series. Blended by Erik Espinosa and made at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Nicaragua, the blend features all Nicaraguan tobaccos, with a Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper.
