This cigar offers the strength and flavor that full bodied fans will love, but is also so smooth that a mild fan will appreciate. The burn required some touch up during the first third with both samples, but being a fairly thick wrapper it’s understandable. I can’t recommend this as a morning smoke because of it’s strength, but after a nice full dinner would be perfect. The draw started out a little too snug for my liking, but gradually opened up along the way. Pairing recommendations: Cold Brew Coffee, Dark Chocolate Thin Resees Cups, after/during a Steak dinner, Dr Pepper, Bourbon, Cognac, Pinot Noir
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Maduro / Binder: Nicaraguan / Filler: Nicaraguan
Vitola: Toro / Size: 6×52
Factory: My Father Cigars S.A. / Country of Origin: Ecuador, Nicaragua

Black Pepper, Dark Chocolate
Raisinets
Right off the bat I get Raisinets, but the chocolate is much more of a Dark Chocolate rather than Milk Chocolate. Black Pepper is in abundance on the retrohale. Although a heavy hitter, this is a very smooth smoke. Heading into the second third, a salty cashew note emerges. The first third toes the line between sweet and spicy beautifully.
The second third begins by introducing a meatiness that mimics a perfectly seared steak. The sweetness is dialing back a bit and the spice jumps up to the front. Red pepper joins the Black Pepper on the retrohale and this with the Steak note really reminds me of a beautifully seasoned steak. The cashew note is still hanging out in the back and adds just the right amount of saltiness to the palate.
Cashew is switched out with Peanuts and the sweetness makes a return with a touch of creaminess, creating a Peanut Butter note. The Steak is still there, but has fallen to the back. A chewy nougat gets in the mix and with the nuttiness. I can’t help but think Snickers. Black Pepper on the retrohale is still very much there. Although an increase in strength, the final third bows out just as smoothly as light up.
