The Limited Cigar Association has announced this month’s offerings, which include a featured cigar as well as an LCA Plus selection. Both of May’s blends interesting, yet unrelated, histories with the Association. The featured blend is a viral fan favorite from Quesada Cigars, and the LCA Plus is a followup to a much talked about mystery release from Mr. Robot. Established to champion brick-and-mortar shops nationwide, the LCA offers exclusive releases on the first Friday of every month in collaboration with more than 400 small businesses, most of them family-owned. Use the LCA store locator to find out where your nearest shop is, and check out the release video below!
For the third consecutive May in a row, the sought-after BBQ Pig by Quesada Cigars makes its triumphant return as one of LCA’s most talked about releases. Featuring a top-secret blend of tobaccos that have been aging for two years, the BBQ Pig was crafted at the Quesda family’s renowned Tabacos de Exportación factory in the Dominican Republic. This distinct 4 x 60 “pig” size showcases the unparalleled skill and expertise of the factory’s two most masterful rollers – the only ones with enough training and experience to craft this special format. First released to the public while the other half of the order was still being produced, this year’s BBQ Pig represents the grand finale of the original production run. As the featured cigar for the month, it will be available across the LCA network on Friday the 5th. Once all of these little piggies have gone to market, at an MSRP of $12.00 each, that’s all folks.
This won’t seem to have anything to do with cigars at first, but it absolutely will. Early in his career, author Stephen King grappled with a crucial question: was his skyrocketing fame a stroke of luck or a testament to his undeniable skill? In an attempt to settle this mystery, King stealthily penned seven novels between 1977 and 1982 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, aiming to discover if his writing would be just as well-received without his famous name attached. Among the works first accredited to the Bachman identity was The Running Man, which would later be the basis for the film of the same name starring cigar lover Arnold Schwarzenegger. In a similar vein, Mr. Robot is said to be an alias for the master blender behind a renowned cigar brand. Presenting a captivating 6 x 50 blend crafted from top-secret tobaccos, Mr. Robot’s second collaboration with Privada aims to defy expectations. While his true identity remains shrouded in secrecy, this enigmatic maestro is eager to know the public’s impressions of this blend, which departs boldly from the style of cigars he is traditionally celebrated for. Available now, Mr. Robot Fumador V2 has an MSRP of $10.50 per cigar.
