Mayfin Cigars on The Real Smoke Podcast

The Real Smoke Podcast with Charles and Mick latest episode!

On this week’s episode of The Real Smoke Podcast, Mick and Charles sit down with Mayfin Cigars. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jose Mayorga and his friend Austin would often meet in the park, lighting up cigars and sharing conversations that sparked something more. Their shared passion for cigars took them from lounge to lounge, building connections and deepening their appreciation for the culture.

Inspired by how the cigar community had positively impacted their lives, Jose and Austin felt compelled to give back. For Jose, cigars weren’t just a hobby—they were a part of his heritage. Coming from a Nicaraguan family where cigars were commonplace, he grew up surrounded by the aroma of tobacco and stories passed down through generations.

Initially, the duo explored the idea of a cigar subscription service, but fate had other plans. Instead, they took a bold step and decided to create their own line of cigars.

With a family-owned farm and factory in Nicaragua and over 30 years of tobacco-growing experience, Jose had the knowledge and roots to bring their vision to life. He shares touching stories about his grandmother and father—memories that continue to shape his journey and fuel his dedication to the craft.
