Review: Cloud Hopper 646 by Warped Cigars

Stallone Alagan Review: The Brand

For those of you who do not know about Warped, it was founded by a teenage prodigy named Kyle Gellis. Kyle became interested in cigars and went down to Miami to learn how to blend cigars at the one factory that would have him, El Titan De Bronze. After years of experience and countless days and nights spent at Aganorsa Farm in Nicaragua, where this cigar was made, Kyle is now the owner of a very well respected brand. If you want to know more about the suit-clad, young titan of industry, check out the interview we recently did with him on our YouTube page. Kyle also started a wine brand which he blends himself. Kyle is a renaissance man and an unstoppable entrepreneur with whom I hope to do much more business. This 6×46 blend dons a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan Corojo 99 and Corojo 98 fillers, all from Aganorsa. It is a Nicaraguan Puro and an Aganorsa Leaf Puro.

Stallone Alagan Review: The Body

Musty, Barn Yard, Chocolate

Stallone Alagan Review: The Foot

Fruit sweetness, molasses, tobacco

Stallone Alagan Review: The Cold Draw

Sweet, Fruity, Tight Draw

Stallone Alagan Review: First Third

On the light, Earth, wood, Slight zest. Retro is earth, wood, strong black pepper spice. Tight Draw

Into the first, notes up front are honey, earth, followed by baking spice and a zesty note. On the retro I get baking spice, cocoa power, sweet cream, and earth. Slight black pepper bite on the sinus. Finish leaves a creamy sweetness on the palate. Draw went from tight to wide open and lose. Smoke is slightly thin. Ash is soft and flaky and doesn’t hold long. Burn tends to go up one side faster but corrects. Medium strength

Stallone Alagan Review: Second Third

Into the second, I’m getting notes of earth and wood mixed with a honey and floral sweet note. The Retro is soft with noted of baking spice, almond, and floral sweetness. No pepper on the sinus at all. Draw is still loose and takes a few puffs to get smoke. Smoke is thin. Burn is still wavy and needed to be touched up to correct. Ask is flaky and still only hold three quarters of an inch or so. Med strength

Stallone Alagan Review: Final Third

The final third brings notes of earth, black coffee, oak, and a slight sweetness in the background. The retro is toasted oak, coffee with cream followed by a light baking spice. Draw has gotten better but the burn has gotten worse. The burn started to fun fast down one side and had to be corrected and then relit. Smoke was better and left a slight sweet finish on the palate. Ash is still the same. Med + strength
