Notorious Cigars: Conor McGregor’s Latest Power Move

Conor McGregor is known for dominating both in and out of the octagon. As a UFC champion, he brought not just skill but also unrivaled entertainment value, with memorable moments like his witty trash talk with Nate Diaz and his infamous outburst where he threw chairs at his opponent’s bus. His swagger-filled strut has become an iconic meme, and his bold persona extends far beyond fighting.

McGregor’s ventures outside the ring have been just as high-profile. He launched Proper 12 Irish Whiskey, which he later sold for an impressive £423 million. He even bought a Lamborghini yacht, living a life as extravagant as you’d expect from the notorious fighter. Now, his latest move is into the cigar industry with Notorious Cigars.

While details about the brand are still scarce, the tagline, “Premium handcrafted cigars inspired by the bold spirit of Conor McGregor,” teases something exciting. Could this mean a robust, maduro flavor bomb that delivers the same punch McGregor is famous for? One can hope. What we do know is that these cigars will reflect his fierce personality, and for fans, that means expectations are high.

So far, there’s no word on the factory producing them or the blends and vitolas that will be offered, but the brand’s Instagram is sure to drop more hints soon. Celebrity collaborations in the cigar world are nothing new—Mike Tyson’s cigar line comes to mind. However, it remains to be seen if McGregor’s Notorious Cigars will offer more than just a famous name.

Given the success of Proper 12, McGregor has shown he knows how to build a brand, but the cigar industry is a different beast. Time will tell if these cigars live up to the hype.

As we wait for more news, we also wait for McGregor’s return to the UFC. His last fight ended in a gruesome leg break against Dustin Poirier, and it’s been three years since he stepped into the cage. Fans are eager to see if he still has what it takes.

Speaking of great fights, I recently attended UFC 307 in Utah, where Pereira vs. Roundtree delivered an unforgettable match. Now, we’ll see if Notorious Cigars can deliver the same level of excitement.

What are your thoughts on celebrity collaborations or their ventures into creating brands? Have there been any that stood out to you as particularly memorable or enjoyable? And if you follow the UFC, what are your thoughts on Conor McGregor’s potential return to the octagon?
