Brian Desind Talks Cuban Tobacco with Hector Luis Prieto Diaz

For some years now Brian Desind of Privada Cigar Club has been very active in educating his consumer and fan base in the intricacies and deeper realities up tobacco and the cigar industry. It is fair to say that part of the Privada mission has been to create a more educated cigar smoker. Recently destined sat down with Hector Luis Prieto Diaz, a legendary Cuban tobacco farmer representing the third generation of tobacco growers in his family, to discuss and dispel some of the misconceptions and industry rumors regarding Cuban tobacco.

Despite the language barrier, the two gentlemen had a very thought-provoking and engaging conversation covering such topics as the blue mold plague, elements that make Cuban tobacco distinct and unique, and what other tobaccos aside from Cuban that they enjoy.
