For the thrill seekers and fright junkies among you, there is a frightening new offering to seek out this October if you are in the Tampa area this Halloween season. J.C. Newman will be opening the storied (and apparently haunted) El Reloj Factory for special “Haunted Factory Tours” on October 18th and 19th.
“Never before have we told the dark stories of 114-year-old cigar factory,” said fourth-generation owner Drew Newman. “For two nights only, we’re opening the doors to our haunted basement and allowing guests to explore the dark, underground side of El Reloj—if they dare!”
This exclusive event will allow visitors to descend into the dark, damp basement of the iconic 114-year-old cigar factory. According to legend, a series of terrible events took place underground where a disturbed worker lured his victims to their demise. His victims are said to haunt the factory’s depths to this day.
What to Expect:
- A 20-minute guided journey through the historic El Reloj cigar factory
- Immersive storytelling and interactive scares that bring to life the dark history of the factory.
- Thrilling encounters with the restless spirits who linger beneath the factory floors.
- The Factory Store will be open during the event, offering guests the chance to purchase premium cigars and exclusive merchandise.
- A cash bar will be available before and after the tour, offering refreshments to help steady nerves.
