PRESS RELEASE
Switzerland-September 18, 2024
The MEERAPFEL family has just announced a special project launched as a means of supporting the Cigar Rights movement and advocacy groups. The project is titled “Création Liberté” and will be a particularly limited release.
“Création Liberté” will be released in a single vitola, a 6″x50 toro, packaged in Paulownia-wood chests, each holding 2 cigars. The MSRP for the chests will be a staggering $240.00, or $120 per cigar. Presumably, the high price point does take into account the fund-raising aspect of the project. Like many previous MEERAPFEL Cigar releases, the Création Liberté will feature the MEERAPFEL family’s signature “sacred leaf”, a vintage Cameroon wrapper. Further details regarding the additional tobaccos used for the project were not disclosed.
Production is limited to a mere 613 chests of two cigars, each including a numbered lithographic artwork. MEERAPFEL will donate proceeds from the sales of its “Création Liberté” to Cigar Rights movements and advocacy groups.
“As one global cigar family, we can make a difference”, stated Reinhard Pohorec, Vice-President MEERAPFEL Cigar. “Création Liberté shall contribute to its prophecy: preserving our liberty.”
The MEERAPFEL “Création Liberté” will be premiered at the InterTabac Trade Show in Dortmund, Germany, this September, and start shipping this fall.
