As fall approaches, cigar enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to. This season brings the release of highly anticipated cigars from brands like Tatuaje, Alec Bradley, and Privada, to name just a few. It’s an exciting time of year, especially for those who savor the cooler, more comfortable evenings before winter sets in and summer’s heat fades. Personally, I love this time of year—it’s perfect for enjoying a cigar on a crisp autumn evening. So, without further ado, let’s dive into this season’s must-try cigars.
TATUAJE MONSTER SMASH – LIMITED RUN
The Tatuaje Monster Smash 14 Cigar Sampler pays tribute to iconic TV horror legends, offering a collection of unique smokes for $175 MSRP. With only 13,000 boxes produced at My Father Cigars in Estelí, this limited-edition sampler is a true collector’s item. Each cigar in the set features a distinct blend, delivering a range of flavors to satisfy every palate. The cigars come in a beautifully designed hinged box that opens like a book, with seven cigars on each side. Don’t miss your chance to grab one and explore this flavorful journey. The sampler includes 14 cigars, each measuring 5 1/4 x 52, box-pressed for an extra touch of craftsmanship.

Alec Bradley- Filthy Ghooligan Release
The Filthy Ghouligan features a striking blend of Ecuadorian Habano and U.S. Broadleaf tobaccos for its wrapper, complemented by an Indonesian Besuki binder. Inside, you’ll find a rich combination of Nicaraguan fillers from Jalapa, Estelí, and Condega, along with Dominican Piloto. Produced in Honduras, only 1,500 boxes have been released, each containing 24 cigars. The Filthy Ghouligan comes in a single Toro size (6″ x 50) with an MSRP of $14.09 per cigar. Much like the Filthy Hooligan St. Patrick’s Day release, this Halloween version adds a seasonal twist—and I can’t wait to light one up and see what it has to offer.
Danli Honduras Tobacco- Don Juan Calavera
The Don Juan is a standout in the lineup from the new boutique brand, Danli Honduras Tobacco. Available in three exquisite wrappers—Connecticut, Sumatra, and Maduro—the Don Juan Calavera is dressed to impress, wrapped in a sleek black tissue jacket that exudes elegance. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking to enjoy a refined smoke, these cigars are ready to accompany you in style.
Undercrown Cigars- Las Calveras
While this cigar leans more toward the Día de los Muertos tradition, it still fits the theme of honoring the departed. Launched in 2014, Las Calaveras pays a respectful tribute to those who have passed in the previous year, serving as both a celebration of life and a remembrance of the dead. The Las Calaveras EL 2024 continues this legacy with a timeless blend of 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos, all cultivated on the Garcia family’s farms, wrapped in a stunning Ecuadorian Habano leaf. A limited release of just 1,500 boxes (24-count) of each of the three vitolas was produced at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua. Additionally, 3,000 samplers were created, each featuring one of the three vitolas along with a sampler-exclusive Belicoso Fino (5 1/2″ x 52). Each 24-count box is thoughtfully arranged in three rows of eight cigars, symbolizing the cycle of life: a beginning, middle, and end. The number ‘8’ holds deeper significance—biblically representing new beginnings, and when turned sideways, mathematically symbolizing infinity, or eternal life.

Privada Cigar Club- Wraith Series, Rare Box & Dead Stock
This year, Privada Cigar Club’s Wraith series brings a thrilling Halloween twist with cigars that offer more than just a seasonal vibe—they deliver the original blend in its purest form. Choose between the bold Nicaraguan red pack or the smooth Dominican blue, depending on your palate. Or, if you’re like me and can’t resist, grab both for the ultimate smoking experience!
Released in June 2023, the Dead Stock cigar by LCA is a masterpiece from a brand renowned for its expertly aged cigars. Aged for over six years before its debut, this cigar’s blend once ranked among the top five on several connoisseur lists. Now presented in a striking 6″ x 50 vitola, the Dead Stock is a Nicaraguan puro wrapped in a rich, dark Maduro leaf, offering a luxurious smoking experience that’s sure to impress seasoned aficionados.
The Privada Cigar Club Rare Box over the years has released Halloween-themed cigars such as The Black Cat, Odd Job, and many others as a collaboration with brands such as JC Newman, Cavalier, and many other brands. Sign up for the club by clicking here.
Many other brands and cigar clubs also release Halloween-themed cigars. For example, Oak Glen Tobacconist offers spooky smokes through their OGT Cigar Society, Traficante Cigars rolls out “The Halloween Queen,” and Cigar Clowns add their own eerie offerings. I’m sure there are more that I’ve missed. If you know of any others, feel free to share them in the comments!
