Review: Tiburón Dominicano Aged 1.5+ Years by Privada Cigar Club

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

The second sample outperformed the first by miles and I believe I know how it happened. I was chasing the dragon on the 1/3 notes so hard that I smoked the first sample way too quickly and burnt out my palate (and most likely the cigar). I slowed myself down on the second sample to grab every nuanced note I could find; resulting in a well-earned 90.

Retrohale Notes: Floral Spices & Light Pepper (1st Half) Dirty Pepper & Hints of Florals (2nd Half)

Average Smoke Time: 1 Hour 3 Minutes

Pairing Recommendations: Sparkling Water, Shirley Temple, Citrus Soda, Vodka Tonic or Mixed Bowl of Fruit

I originally started smoking cigars around 2002 right after I turned 18; this was my attempt at “coolness”. What happened throughout the years though turned into true romance of the leaf. Cigars are passion, calmness and clarity mixed with the joy of collecting and community with a splash of nostalgia!
