Review: Domain Cigars Negentropy

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

The cigar features a thick, oily wrapper with a reddish-brown hue. It has tight seams and very small vein structures, making it appear nearly seamless. The cigar is uniformlyrolled with a little give when squeezed, and it has a balanced mottling throughout. The wrapper is visually appealing with some sporadic toothiness. Overall, it’s a very pretty and well-constructed cigar.

Final Thoughts: This lively and complex blend captivated me from start to finish, with its flavor and smoke texture being the standout features. The strength is perfectly balanced, never overwhelming, and harmonizes well with the cigar’s flavor and body. Overall, it’s a very good
cigar with excellent flavor, a dense body, and well-balanced strength, making for an enjoyable experience.

Stallone Alagan Review: First Third

The draw and smoke output are excellent, with woods, cream, black pepper, and baker’s spices over a faint sweetness, followed by milk chocolate notes over earth. The medium-bodied cigar has a luscious smoke texture, though some bitterness appears after a caramel sweetness fades. The retrohale is powerful and stinging, offering notes of plum, sweet bread, cinnamon, roasted nuts and black and white pepper. The cigar develops a nice white ash, and a wavy burn line that requires a touch-up. On one sample I get a faint custard note on the retrohale.

Stallone Alagan Review: Second Third

The cigar features flavors of woods, caramelized brûlée, cream, earth, leather, and black and white pepper, with hints of flan. It achieves a nice balance at the midway point, where the spices recedes and the creamy quality takes over. A crispy bacon flavor emerges on one sample. The retrohale delivers lots of cinnamon and milk chocolate, along with a delicious gingerbread note. Black pepper lingers on the palate and the back of the throat.

Stallone Alagan Review: Final Third

On the palate I get oak, leather, nougat, cream, earth, and black and white pepper, with a chewy smoke texture. It has a very enjoyable finish that coats the mouth and includes a hint of meatiness. On one sample I get notes of apple cinnamon and milk chocolate. The retrohale reveals notes of woods, cream, milk chocolate, and earth, enhancing the overall experience.
