LeeMack912 Another Great Day Grissini
This dark chocolate lancero has a very toothy wrapper. It shows a dry texture in some areas and a light oily sheen in others. The cigar is nicely rolled with visible seams. The head has an awkward press on one sample, giving it an oval shape, with tobacco pressing against the body and cap. It is firmly packed but has some give when squeezed.
I love lanceros, and this cigar reminds me why. It has a bold flavor with some sweetness and a great draw. While the balance is slightly off in the final third, it still finishes nicely and is nearly perfectly constructed. Rustic, lively, and invigorating, this cigar is bold and unapologetic. Though the flavor profile becomes less complex in the latter half, it remains enjoyable. This cigar performs exceptionally well and is one of the best lanceros I’ve had this year. If you enjoy rich, earthy, espresso-like, full-flavored cigars, give it a try.

The draw is perfect, a pleasant surprise given the initially snug cold draw. The cigar starts creamy with flavors of cedar, chocolate, leather, and white pepper spices, finishing with coffee bean. The retrohale offers black peppercorn over earth and black coffee, with a Cajun meatiness in one sample. The burn is wavy but without issues. After an inch, strong salted dark chocolate notes emerge on one sample. Towards the end of the first third, there’s a bready note on the retrohale. The draw and smoke output are excellent, with a fast burn and razor-sharp burn line.
The finish is longer, with cedar and earthy notes over black and white pepper, cedar, coffee, and an unsweetened waffle cone flavor. The strength increases slightly. The retrohale reveals caramel and brown sugar notes over woods, earth, and black pepper. One burn touch-up is needed on one sample. Creamy flavors of peanut butter and chocolate emerge. I notice that the ash is grouped in thick stacks, resembling a stack of poker chips rather than a stack of dimes. The cigar offers full flavor, boldness, and a chewiness while maintaining medium strength and great smoke output.
Espresso, earth, and leather emerge to the forefront, with faint black and white pepper. With two inches left, the strength increases but remains manageable. Chocolate and peanut butter flavors make their way back into the fold, while the ash flowers but holds well. The smoke texture is chewy, with some salted pistachios and meatiness. Faint pepper lingers on the palate, and the retrohale has hints of something that reminds me of taco seasoning. As the cigar winds down, the retrohale isn’t as sharp, featuring malt, earth, and rich espresso. Sweetness recedes, leaving a long finish. The cigar maintains a creamy quality throughout.
