Review: Aladino Camaroon Elegante

Aladino Camaroon Elegante Review

Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience
This cigar only really lost large chunks of points for flavor complexity and enjoyability. Although the flavor itself was fine, it was just a bit too subdued for my tastes.  I don’t have any major complaints about this smoke. Construction was perfect, it’s my preferred vitola and the draw was fantastic. It at times just seemed flat and left me wanting a touch more flavor and intensity. It is worth noting I preferred the second sample in the morning over the first sample that I reviewed late night. I would certainly smoke this again, but in the morning with a nice cup of iced coffee.
Pairing Recommendations: Bullseye/Cow Tail Carmel crème candy, Iced Coffee with caramel syrup, Milk Stout, Light Lager

Stallone Alagan Review: First Third

Before I even light up this cigar, I notice the components via the foot. I see a nice darker shade swirling within a relatively light brown wrapper cigar. Once lit, I’m hit with a note of pure cedar. The retrohale is really interesting and is definitely the sweetest retrohale I’ve experienced. Caramel retro and mostly cedar on the palate are the takeaways from the first third.

Stallone Alagan Review: Second Third
The second third continues the cedar, but a nice little creaminess is coming through. The retrohale has abandoned the caramel and now it’s a mild red pepper. As the second third comes to a close and we head to the finale, not much has changed.
Stallone Alagan Review: Final Third
The final third continues to play the same chords as the first two; cedar, cream and a hint of spice on the retrohale. I feel like thus far, I’m waiting to get a real punch of flavor or body, but as this review comes to a close I’m left without a real awakening of the senses.
