Stallone Alagan Review: The Experience

While the construction on both samples was nearly flawless with zero touch-ups or re-lights and a great draw the flavor profile is not my jam and with the back end leaning towards more spice and muted notes harmed my personal experience. On construction alone I would purchase this cigar and easily give it to someone to try (everyone’s palate is unique) but I would also not be surprised if you felt the same way as I did.

Retrohale Notes: Fruity Spices & Hints of Barnyard (1st Half), Dirty Pepper and Spices (2nd Half)

Stallone Alagan Review: The Brand

In the lush green hills of Puriscal, right next to the old Santiago Apostol church, you’ll find Don Olman Leon’s cigar empire.  This isn’t just any factory; it’s where some of the fanciest cigars, like Atabey, D’Crossier, and Byron, come to life.  More than that, it’s a place where the community comes together, especially on the indoor football field that’s open for everyone.  Leon spends three solid months each year growing top-notch Ecuadorian wrapper leaf on 250 acres, proving he’s all about quality.  The unique designs on our cigar bands are inspired by the church’s beautiful stained glass, mixing luxury with a nod to Puriscal’s past.

I originally started smoking cigars around 2002 right after I turned 18; this was my attempt at “coolness”. What happened throughout the years though turned into true romance of the leaf. Cigars are passion, calmness and clarity mixed with the joy of collecting and community with a splash of nostalgia!
