“We are announcing today that Master Distiller Alex Castle will be leaving Old Dominick Distillery after nine years of exceptional service. Alex has decided to return to her home state of Kentucky to pursue new opportunities in the industry. While we are excited to see her embark on a new journey, it’s bittersweet to see her go.”

“We are enormously grateful for Alex’s contributions in her 9 years and the foundation she helped build at Old Dominick. We’re confident we have assembled an outstanding Team over these years and are excited for the opportunities to showcase their talent as we continue to make carefully crafted spirits that we’re proud to offer as Memphis’ only local distiller. We wish Alex all the best as she embarks on her new Journey and appreciate everything she has done for the company.” said Chris Canale Jr., Owner of Old Dominick Distillery.

“Helping start-up and launch Old Dominick has been one of the most exciting, enjoyable, and rewarding opportunities of not only my career but also of my life. It’s incredible to look back over the last nine years and see just how much this team has accomplished. We’ve come a long way in that time, and I know the team will continue to take Old Dominick to new heights.” said Alex Castle.

“It is with mixed emotions that I announce my departure from Old Dominick Distillery. The last 8+ years have been truly unbelievable. I am grateful for the countless opportunities I’ve had during my time with Old Dom, and I am so proud of the team I helped build. This brand will always be my baby and I am excited to see where it goes from here.

My last day will be May 24th. I hope to see many of you between now and then!!

All that said, I am extremely excited and nervous for what the future holds.

Stayed tuned for updates on my next adventure. #backtoky #myoldkentuckyhome #kybourbon”

What’s next for Alex Castle? Will she be headed back to Wild Turkey where she got her start? Will she be taking over at one of Kentucky’s new craft distilleries? Will she be starting her own? Only time will tell. What we do know is that with all of the amazing work that she did at Old Dominick, there is no doubt that wherever her future holds, it will be a successful one. Lets us all raise a glass… Congratulations Alex and good luck to you and your future adventures.

What do you think her next adventure will be? Leave it in the comments below. Also help us wish her luck on the next chapter of her life. As always, I want to thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Until the next article, if you’re going to enjoy a little smoke & oak just remember, “Life’s too short, enjoy the good stuff…” and do it responsibly!
