Artista Cigars has revealed that the brand’s highly anticipated Artista Series Cigars – announced last year – will be available domestically within days. As the flagship brand of Artista Cigars, the Artista Series represents the culmination of years of dedication and signifies the company’s new direction in crafting exceptional blends. Radhames “Ram” Rodriguez, President of Artista Cigars, shares that “we are excited to finally deliver Artista to our patient retailer partners; it took us a bit longer than anticipated to get this brand to retailers but we believe the final product was worth the wait.”
The Artista Series currently consists of two distinct blends: Artista Harvest and Artista Midnight. Each blend is characterized by a unique moniker and color scheme, meant to showcase their varying strength and flavor profiles. Kevin Newman, Artista Vice-President, describes how the series began to take shape: “For the Artista lines we challenged ourselves to make something different. We spoke with our Factory Team and worked with our Agronomist. We asked them to seek new materials, source often over-looked tobaccos, and asked our best artisans to help us develop something wholly different.’
Artista Harvest, represented by a yellow-gold color scheme, offers a medium-bodied experience. It boasts a supple Sumatra wrapper, a flavorful Habano Seco binder, and a proprietary Dominican filler blend. This blend introduces a delightful combination of spice, rich honey, bright elderberry, and earthy notes of cashew and almond, creating a truly unique smoking experience.
In contrast, Artista Midnight, distinguished by a dark blue color scheme, is a reportedly a full-bodied cigar featuring a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Complemented by an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and the USA, this blend aims to captivate with deep, rich, earthy notes of coffee, spice, chestnut, and even a hint of citrus.
Both Artista Harvest and Artista Midnight are presented in boxes of 20 cigars and are available in two sizes: 5 x 54 Box Pressed Robusto and 6 x 50 Box Pressed Toro. With an MSRP of $10.20 per Robusto and $10.40 per Toro, this is a series that intends to offer enthusiasts a remarkable smoking experience at an accessible price point. Also scheduled to be on display at next month’s Premium Cigar Association industry trade show, both blends will be available nationwide before the end of July.
