Altadis U.S.A., a Tabacalera U.S.A. company, has unveiled a new offering: the Romeo y Julieta Book of Love. Drawing inspiration from the famously tragic tale of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, the Romeo y Julieta brand continues to honor its literary namesake with this run of cigars meticulously packaged in a ten-count unit designed to resemble a book. “Limited” could mean very different things to you, me, and one of the largest tobacco companies in the world – so while the blend is being referred to as a limitied edition by most cigar media, it is worth nothing that no actual production numbers have been made available.
This 6 x 52 Toro features Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican binder and filler tobaccos. “The Romeo y Julieta Book of Love is one of the most flavorful blends we’ve ever made for the Romeo y Julieta brand,” explains Pedro Ventura, Director of Operations with Tabacalera de Garcia. “The most predominant tobacco in the blend is the Dominican Piloto variety from two regions of the Dominican Republic – Navarrete and La Canela – located in the heart of the Cibao Valley.” Crafted at the Tabacalera de Garcia factory in the Dominican Republic, each ten-count box is priced at $130.00.
Romeo Y Julieta, as well as other selections from the Altadis portfolio, are available from Privada Cigar Club.
