Nica Oro, has just announced a new bundle project – the Belleau Wood Brand – blended by Indiana Ortez. Expected to be available in May, Belleau Wood’s cuban-sandwhich style cigars will debut with three wrapper selections – Connecticut Shade, Ecuadorean Habano, and Ecuadorean Maduro. Ranging for between just $3.95 and $4.25 each, all three blends will be available in 4 sizes – Toro, Robusto, Presidente, and Gordo.
Named for the 1918 battle that saw the U.S. Marines of the 2nd and 3rd Infantry Divisions fight for 20 straight days, the company explains that “our cigars namesake pays homage to the Devil Dogs we remember every day, by presenting an everyday cigar.” Ortez shares that “this project is very exciting for me! Learning about the history and significance of the battle really allowed me to take what is normally a regular cigar for this market segment and focus on a memorable blend using choice tobaccos, something I don’t think is given its due with these types of everyday cigars.”
All 12 bundle variations of the Belleau Wood lineup ship in 20 count boxes and are now available via pre-order on the Favilli Trading online store. Nica Oro, based in Florida, is an exclusive distributor of Nicaraguan brands, blends, and accessories, including Indiana’s Casa Ortez cigars when they are made available to the public.
