Understandably overshadowed a bit by the acquisition of Alec Bradley Cigar Co. by Scandanavian Tobacco Group, a special version of the popular Gatekeeper line has been put on the calendar for April. The Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper Diamond Press will be the third Diamond Press project made available to the public so far, following the success of the Nica Puro Diamond Rough Cut and the Black Market Estelí Diamond Press.
“My father Alan, brother Alec and I have been asked more times than I can count about making a Gatekeeper Diamond,” said second generation cigar maker, Bradley Rubin. “We’re humbled to have the opportunity to bring a cigar to market that we already know will be highly coveted.” Another great example of cigar makers known for listening to their customers and paying attention to the wish lists of the community-at-large.
A total of 16 cigars will appear in each of the only 1,500 boxes made of this intriguing 6.25 x 54 oddity. Showcasing the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan/Dominican fillers for which its regular production counterpart has become known, each limited Gatekeeper Diamond Press will retail for a suggested $12.75.
