With very few exceptions, J.C. Newman Cigar Co. offers extensive tours of their historic 112-year-old El Reloj cigar factory every day that the storied facility is open and operating. As a result, these tours – 75 minutes in duration – typically take place exclusively on weekdays. For a very limited time, J.C. Newman has opened up bookings for a series of Saturday Overtime Tours scheduled for March and April.
The iconic company describes what guests can expect by sharing that, “the famous tour of El Reloj guides visitors through the process of cigar making both by hand and on antique cigar machines, the Newman family legacy, the history of Cigar City, and much more. Three stories high, and one city-block long, this historic cigar factory will please cigar enthusiasts, history buffs, and those with interests in manufacturing and technology. The cost for the tour is $15 for Adults, and $12 for Seniors, Students, and Veterans. All ages are welcome to join the tour*.”
On Saturday, March 4th, there are a few spots remaining for the 9:30A, 11:30A, and 1:30P tours. On April 1st – no joke – the 9:30A tour is the only one that hasn’t sold out yet, but tickets are going quickly. To book your tour, and to find out more about other activities like their Cigar Rolling Classes, visit J.C. Newman’s “book a tour” page.
*The tour features extensive walking and might not be comfortable for small children*
